BERLIN
August 2023:
Berlin, Germany's capital.
Once divided - now a lively hub for culture and innovation.
Visiting Berlin for the first time is a unique experience. As soon as you set foot in this bustling metropolis, you are greeted with a palpable aura of historical significance and a vibrant energy that permeates the city streets. Berlin seamlessly blends the old with the new, creating that tapestry of diversity that is so awe-inspiring and captivating.
The very top of the city is visible from every angle of any street and every angle of any street is visible from the top.

What to do on a rainy Sunday? Perhaps not the most obvious choice, but Berlin Zoo is a good way to spend an afternoon. The giraffes here are tall, the goats are on top of it all, and the birds and the monkeys come in many shapes and sizes.
Head east—a journey back to a past that lingers. The decor is mostly shades of grey and brown, reminiscent of an era when Erich Mielke led the MfS. From the 1950s to 1990, fueled by systematic paranoia, the East German Secret Police (Stasi) kept everyone under careful surveillance.
In essence, stepping foot in Berlin for the first time offers an enchanting journey through time and culture. This city, with its vibrant history, radiant energy, and warm hospitality, leaves an indelible impression on every visitor.
Berlin is like any other big city, but it has a unique calmness despite its eclecitic buzz. It still embraces diversity.

As I'm waiting for my ride home, I'm pondering my next destination and when a return to Berlin might fit in to my schedule.
