DARKNESS

We are all drawn to it in one way or another. Some watch scary movies - others read horror stories. Some are affraid of the dark, yet intrigued by its mystery and the unexplainable adventures that possibly hides within it.

We somehow behave differently in the dark than we would in daylight. While we’re not in danger necessarily, we are perhaps quieter, more observant, and more alert.

I too am intrigued by darkness - the absense of light which, coincidentally, is quite an important important factor in photography. So, with this series of images, I’m not only testing my own limits in photography. I want to recreate the sceneries with as little highlights or exposure boosts as possible, while maintining a reasonable amount of detail. It’s an ongoing process, and as I’ll soon be reemerging into the darkness to capture more of it, I will post the results here. Stay tuned!
